KONGSBERG's SmallSat Systems is seeking a Project Security Manager to integrate security across Space for Defence programs. You will lead security planning, risk assessments, and compliance, collaborating with engineers, customers, and authorities to enable secure, on-time project delivery.

The role blends hands-on security with strategic improvement across the SmallSat organization. Ideal candidates bring defence/security experience, familiarity with NATO regulations, and strong communication

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience from defence, security, emergency preparedness, or critical infrastructure environments may compensate for formal education.
• Experience with security in complex technical, defence, aerospace, or regulated settings.
• Understanding of risk, compliance, and security requirements in project-based environments.
• Familiarity with defence security requirements and NATO regulations is advantageous.

About The Role

As our Project Security Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring security is integrated into our Space for Defence program and projects.

We are looking for a hands‑on security professional who enjoys working closely with project teams, engineers, customers, and authorities. You are comfortable taking ownership of security activities from planning through execution and thrive in an environment where you can combine structure, collaboration, and practical problem‑solving.

This is a broad role with significant responsibility and impact. You will be the go‑to person for project security matters while also contributing to broader security initiatives across the SmallSat organization.

You enjoy understanding how things work, identifying risks, and finding practical solutions that support both security and project delivery.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience from defence, security, emergency preparedness, law enforcement, critical infrastructure, or similar security‑related environments may compensate for formal education.
• Experience working with security in complex technical, defence, aerospace, or other regulated environments.
• Experience conducting security risk assessments and implementing security measures.Good understanding of security requirements, risk management, and compliance in project‑based environments.
• Familiarity with defence security requirements, NATO regulations, classified information handling, or security clearance processes is an advantage.
• Broad understanding of relevant security disciplines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive activities from planning through execution and follow-up.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
