Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace invites you to join the Space Systems & Surveillance team in Oslo as a Project Manager for Advanced Satellite Systems. You will steer complex, multi‑disciplinary projects through all phases, ensuring delivery on contracts, budgets and schedules while coordinating customers, suppliers and partners.

You will lead governance, risk management, and performance monitoring, building trusted customer relationships in a dynamic, international space environment.

Formación

• Higher education in engineering, technology, business, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant work experience in defence, aerospace, space, or mission‑critical environments.
• Excellent English communication; Norwegian an advantage.
• Eligible for Norwegian and NATO security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead satellite and space projects through all execution phases.
• Ensure delivery aligned with contractual, technical, financial, and schedule requirements.
• Establish and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, and risk registers.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Drive governance, reporting, and decision‑making processes.
• Monitor performance and proactively manage risks and resources.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as a project contact.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PM practices.

We think you should have

Relevant higher education within engineering, technology, business, or a related field. Experience from defence, aerospace, space, maritime surveillance, security, or other mission‑critical environments is considered highly relevant and may compensate for differences in educational background.

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience

Proven experience in project management and/or leading larger, complex technical projects

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders

Solid understanding of project planning, cost control, risk management, and progress reporting

Excellent communication skills in English; Norwegian language skills are considered an advantage

What you will do

Establish and maintain project plans, milestones, budgets, and risk registers.

Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams as well as customers, suppliers, and partners.

Drive project governance, reporting, and decision‑making processes.

Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, issues, and resource requirements.

Build strong customer relationships and act as a key point of contact during project execution.

Contribute to continuous improvement of project management practices and ways of working.

Some travel will be required.
