Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Project Completion Engineer to support a contract in Stord, Norway. You will prepare and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES, including man-hour estimates, drawings, procedures, and MTO, while coordinating with engineering, planning, construction and commissioning teams to ensure prerequisites are met.

Responsibilities include safety reviews, risk identification, HSSE compliance, and contributing to continuous improvements in work preparation processes.

Qualifications

• Technical education with a trade certificate or engineering degree.
• Minimum 5 years’ oil & gas or related industry experience, preferably in construction or commissioning.
• Familiarity with MC and commissioning completion processes and digital tools (PIMS CMS/PIMS PES).
• Strong ability to read P&IDs and ISO drawings and interpret technical documentation.
• Norwegian fluent with good English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in preparing mechanical work packages is an advantage.

Project Completion Engineer

Contract period: 02.11.2026 - 30.04.2027
Location: Stord

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Work Order Preparation: Based on information provided in engineering work packs (EWP), the Work Prep Engineer shall develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES, including, but not limited to, man-hour (MHR) estimates, drawings, procedures, and material lists (MTO).
• Interface Management: Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure all prerequisites are met prior to job execution.
• Quality & HSSE Compliance: Review safety aspects of planned work, identify risks, and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and project implementation models.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize work preparation processes and contribute to lessons learned.

Qualifications:

• Technical education (vocational or engineering degree) with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry or a related industry, preferably within construction or commissioning.
• Familiarity with MC and commissioning completion processes and digital tools (e.g., PIMS CMS/PIMS PES).
• Strong understanding of drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Fluent in Norwegian, with a good command of English, both written and spoken
• The position is preferably based on a regular work week, with some possibilitiesfor remote work when practical.
• Experience in preparing mechanical work packages is considered an advantage.
