Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Stavanger to perform and verify electrical installations, manage heat trace design, and coordinate with vendors and other disciplines. This role requires a Bachelor or Master degree with at least 5 years of offshore experience, strong knowledge of IEC/NORSOK standards, and familiarity with HV/LV system design.

Responsibilities include preparing MTOs, technical requisitions, and engineering work packages, while interfacing across disciplines

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant area.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in offshore electrical engineering and modification projects.
• Experience with electrical design according to NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 and latest protocols/interfaces (GOOSE, MMS, PTP, SV) preferred.
• Knowledge of suppliers' technical solutions for HV and LV systems.
• Cyber security in electrical systems (IEC 62443) preferred.

• Define and design heat trace requirement in accordance with P&IDs.
• Prepare, check and approve MTO.
• Prepare check and approve technical requisitions.
• Follow up vendors.
• Insert data into engineering registry.
• Produce engineering work packages.
• Interface with other disciplines.
• Site surveys.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree within relevant area.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with the following:
  • Electrical engineering in modification projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
  • Electrical design according to relevant standard such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL and IEC.
  • Knowledge of technical requirements and tools/software from offshore operators.
  • Knowledge of IEC 61850 and latest protocols/interfaces (GOOSE, MMS, PTP,SV) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of suppliers technical solutions for High and Low Voltage systems and philosophies for system design.
  • Cyber security in electrical systems(IEC 62443 as IACS/OT).
