Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS seeks a skilled Project Completion Engineer with a strong background in oil & gas. You will prepare work orders, manage interfaces across engineering and construction teams, and ensure HSSE compliance while driving continuous improvements. Fluency in Norwegian and English is required.

The position favors a regular work week with some remote work when feasible, and offers exposure to diverse offshore/onshore projects within Head Energy's network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in oil & gas or related industry, preferably construction or commissioning.
• Familiarity with MC and commissioning completion processes and digital tools such as PIMS CMS and PIMS PES.
• Strong understanding of drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Fluent in Norwegian with good command of English, written and spoken.
• Open to a regular work week with some remote work when practical.

Responsibilities

• Work Order Preparation: develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES with MHR estimates, drawings, procedures and MTO.
• Interface Management: collaborate with engineering, planning, construction and commissioning teams to ensure prerequisites are met before execution.
• Quality & HSSE Compliance: review safety aspects, identify risks, and ensure HSSE compliance and project models.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to optimize work preparation processes and contribute to lessons learned.

Job Description

• Work Order Preparation: Based on information provided in engineering work packs (EWP), the Work Prep Engineer shall develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES, including, but not limited to, man-hour (MHR) estimates, drawings, procedures, and material lists (MTO).
• Interface Management: Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure all prerequisites are met prior to job execution.
• Quality & HSSE Compliance: Review safety aspects of planned work, identify risks, and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and project implementation models.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize work preparation processes and contribute to lessons learned

Qualifications

• Technical education (vocational or engineering degree) with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry or a related industry, preferably within construction or commissioning.
• Familiarity with MC and commissioning completion processes and digital tools (e.g., PIMS CMS/PIMS PES).
• Strong understanding of drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Fluent in Norwegian, with a good command of English, both written and spoken
• The position is preferably based on a regular work week, with some possibilites for remote work when practical.
