Head Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Completion & Commissioning Engineer to plan, coordinate and follow up completion, hook-up and commissioning activities for subsea well equipment, including XMTs and wellheads.

You will work closely with project teams, suppliers and operations to ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery of offshore projects, with emphasis on testing, documentation and handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical education within engineering, offshore operations or commissioning.
• Extensive experience with completion, hook-up and commissioning activities in offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of subsea well equipment, XMTs, wellheads and associated control systems.
• Experience with supplier follow-up, testing, project completion systems and offshore execution.
• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• A structured, proactive and safety-focused approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and follow up completion, hook-up and commissioning activities for subsea well equipment.
• Coordinate planning and schedules in line with the overall project plan.
• Provide technical guidance for SIMOPS during hook-up and commissioning.
• Lead offshore hook-up and commissioning of XMTs and wellhead equipment.
• Ensure offshore material take-off requirements are identified for seamless execution.
• Monitor completion data and ensure safe, efficient handover to operations.

On behalf of one of our clients, we are looking for Completion Engineer XMT & Wellhead Pnr: 6001663 Head Energy is looking for an experienced Senior Completion & Commissioning Engineer to support a major offshore development project.

The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating and following up completion, hook-up and commissioning activities related to subsea well equipment, including XMTs, wellheads, control panels and hydraulic power units. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, contractors and operations to ensure safe, efficient and timely delivery.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure participation in supplier testing, including EFAT, FAT, SAT and site testing for relevant well equipment and control systems.
• Act as the completion focal point for intervention and drilling & wells-related package delivery, including scope definition, inspection, testing and follow-up.
• Coordinate planning and schedules in line with the overall project plan.
• Provide technical guidance for hook-up and commissioning SIMOPS activities in the well bay area.
• Plan and execute offshore hook-up and commissioning of XMTs and wellhead equipment.
• Ensure that offshore material take-off requirements are identified and available to support seamless execution.
• Monitor mechanical completion, testing and completion data for XMT and wellhead systems.
• Facilitate completion management system activities, including data flow, planning and scope establishment.
• Coordinate procurement, required technical documentation, stakeholder management and commissioning readiness for offshore activities.
• Follow up equipment status for wellhead control panels and hydraulic power units towards site testing.

Key Duties

• Contribute to project forecasts, schedules and cost estimates within the commissioning scope.
• Support the project with sufficient commissioning resources and expertise as required.
• Act as Site Commissioning Authority during commissioning phases when needed.
• Ensure that completion and commissioning activities are performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project, operational, verification and assurance requirements.
• Support implementation of commissioning certification and handover processes in accordance with the project completion strategy.
• Ensure safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment from project to operations.

Leadership and Coordination

• Provide supervision, direction and technical guidance for XMT installation and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and project resources delivering equipment, materials and services for XMT, wellhead control panel and hydraulic power unit commissioning.
• Lead and coordinate relevant commissioning disciplines to:
  • Witness supplier and contractor testing as required.
  • Develop, review and implement commissioning procedures.
  • Deliver the agreed commissioning scope.
  • Ensure an effective transition from project to operations.
• Establish and coordinate multidisciplinary commissioning reviews when required.
• Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews.
