Job summary

NTNU’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for a PhD position within Information Systems focused on digital transformation from a sociotechnical perspective. The fellowship emphasizes qualitative empirical methods and collaboration within the Applied Information Technology group.

Successful candidates will complete doctoral education within four years, conduct field research in organizations, and contribute to research papers under supervision, under NTNU's PhD programme

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information systems, or in management, organization theory, sociology, or science and technology studies with emphasis on digitalization.
• Strong academic background with average grade equal to B or better on NTNU scale; exceptional candidates may be considered with strong related experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete the doctoral education to obtain a PhD.
• Plan and conduct empirical research in organizations under supervision.
• Lead in writing research papers under supervision.
• Comply with the PhD training program of the Faculty.
• Be an active member of the local research group.
