Job summary

NTNU in Trondheim invites applications for a fully funded 4-year PhD position in the Department of Architecture and Planning, in collaboration with the Department of Design. Join the CREST-GLOBAL team to develop equitable urban adaptation through adaptive planning and human-centred design.

The role includes doctoral education, participation in research groups, international activities, teaching and supervision of master students, and scientific publications, with strong English skills expected.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in urban planning, industrial design or equivalent.
  • Average grade of Master studies equal to B or better per NTNU grading scale; or an equally good academic foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete doctoral education leading to a PhD degree.
  • Participate in research groups such as CREST GLOBAL and Gemini Centre for Global Impact.
  • Attend international conferences and research stays; teach and supervise master students in Urban Planning and Humanitarian Design.
  • Publish academic work and engage in science dissemination.
