Job summary

VitalEssence Spa in Alta, Norway is seeking a part-time Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, staff, and guest service. You will manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, budgeting, and collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role.
Proven track record of increasing profitability through effective management techniques.
Excellent English (Norwegian is a plus).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Knowledge of restaurant software systems (POS).

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the restaurant including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and budgeting.
Train and supervise staff to maintain high levels of customer service and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain our standards of excellence.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items and specials.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing for ingredients and supplies.
Create marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Oversee daily financial transactions including cash handling, invoicing, and reporting.
