As an Operations Assistant, you will play a hands‑on role in keeping River City Food Bank’s food distributions and programs running safely and efficiently. You’ll help receive and organize food donations, maintain inventory, prepare distribution areas, support volunteers, assist with programs, and help ensure food gets where it needs to go.
You are dependable, hardworking, and ready to jump in wherever you’re needed. You enjoy being part of a team, can adapt quickly in a busy environment, and bring respect, courtesy, and professionalism when working with people from different backgrounds. You’re comfortable with hands‑on work, take safety seriously, and understand that the details behind the scenes are essential to serving our community well.
A high school diploma or GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Applicants must have a current California Class C driver’s license and clean driving record and be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Starting pay is $20/hour. Full-time benefits include health and dental insurance after 30 days, paid time off including select paid holidays, and 401(k) participation as outlined in plan documents.
