Job summary

TechnipFMC is seeking an experienced Controls Product Support Engineer to join our Asset Integrity & Production Management team. You will support offshore control systems, work with multidisciplinary teams, and travel regularly to Ågotnes, Kongsberg and Aberdeen for client visits and training.

The role requires a degree in engineering and at least 5 years in subsea and topside control systems, offshore operations, and subsea engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (BSc/MSc) in electro, automation, IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in subsea and topside control systems.
• Minimum 5 years offshore operations/workshops experience.
• Minimum 5 years subsea engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a technical lead.
• Experience with virtual systems, IT networks & communication protocols.
• Experience in oil & gas field operations.
• Experience with SAP QN/SN tasks.
• Experience with subsea processing systems.

Responsibilities

• 1st line support to customers and internal clients for troubleshooting and advice in operational mode for Control systems.
• Technical support for offshore operations with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain online Condition and Performance Monitoring Systems with focus on advising customers in Controls.
• Lead engineering, workshop testing and offshore implementation work.
• Contribute to quotations and subcontractor planning.
• Prepare procedures, specifications, drawings for offshore operations.
• Initiate and follow up actions during project execution.
• Provide feedback to product management and development to improve solutions.
• Travel regularly to Ågotnes, Kongsberg and Aberdeen for training and client visits.
• Be based in Ågotnes or Kongsberg.
