Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Kongsberg, Norway, is seeking a Senior System Engineer to lead the engineering work in Life of Field projects within the Controls & Automation team. You will own the subsystem design, scope, studies and interface with Project Engineers, Service Personnel and Test Manager to ensure delivery meets operational needs and regulatory requirements.

You will build and maintain the Bill of Materials, own the Scope of Supply for project deliveries, and collaborate with the customer's

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline. Relevant competency may substitute for educational requirements.
• Extensive experience in the hydraulic and electric engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of subsea engineering principles, products and systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Fluent in English both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the system delivered will cover the operational needs as well as being within the given regulations and requirements.
• Build and maintain the Bill of Material for the project.
• Own the Scope of Supply for the project deliveries.
• Work closely with the customer's Lead Engineer, on operational needs and solutions.
• Oversee the Project Engineer's work for the project. New solutions and reuse of existing equipment.
• Final system testing (EFAT). Write the procedure and lead the test in collaboration with Project Engineers, Service Personnel and Test Manager.
