Job summary

Shearwater GeoServices is seeking an Instrumentation Support Engineer to ensure seamless recording systems across our offshore fleet, based in Bergen. You will apply hands-on technical oversight, plan strategically, and drive improvements while coordinating with global teams.

You will bring proven seismic/geophysical instrumentation experience, knowledge of sensor and acquisition technologies, and scripting skills to reduce downtime and raise service quality. Isometrix knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience from seismic/geophysical industry with strong instrumentation systems knowledge.
• Isometrix experience is an advantage but not required.
• Knowledge of sensor and acquisition technologies and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of recording systems for instrumentation across vessels worldwide.
• Coordinate activities to reduce downtime and improve service quality.
• Support contract reviews for the Geosupport team.
• Provide hands-on technical oversight, planning and problem-solving to drive improvements.
