Job summary

Aibel is seeking a Senior Instrument Engineer to lead technical follow-up of instrumentation systems and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. You will prepare requisitions, review vendor docs, and ensure deliverables meet customer requirements, with opportunities for FATs and site surveys.

The role emphasizes collaboration, clear communication in Norwegian and English, and delivering high-quality results within project timelines.

Qualifications

• Technical vocational school, Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Trade certificate is considered an advantage
• Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience within instrumentation, engineering projects, or related disciplines
• Experience with instrumentation design, vendor follow-up, or similar engineering tasks
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Technical follow-up of instrumentation systems, including preparation of technical requisitions
• Review of vendor documentation and identify project information requirements
• Contribute to the design of solutions meeting customer requirements and ensure quality of deliverables
• Participate in FATs and other testing activities; may participate in offshore/onshore site surveys
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and customers for effective interface management and successful project delivery
