NES Fircroft is seeking an OCTG Planner in Florø, Norway, on a fixed-term contract from 01.11.2026 to 30.08.2027. The role focuses on ensuring timely OCTG material availability to support drilling and well operations, with emphasis on planning, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement.

You will engage with Wells, PFMs, and logistics teams to manage demand, create SAP entries, and drive procurement activities through RFP processes and supplier follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Experience with OCTG planning and material availability in oil & gas operations.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relations and procurement processes.
• Strong Excel and data reporting skills for tracking planning cycles.

OCTG Planner

Contract period: 01.11.2026 - 30.08.2027
Location: Florø

Main tasks:

• The OCTG Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the timely availability of OCTG materials to support drilling and well operations.
• This responsibility encompasses deep process knowledge, strategic inventory planning, and accurate reporting.
• The role also involves active stakeholder engagement and ownership of long-term planning tools for OCTG, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate planning schedules with all involved stakeholders, ensuring adherence to deadlines and planning cycles. Register new demand entries in the Excel control spreadsheet for tracking and visibility.
• Create new SAP material numbers for out-of-contract materials demand.
• Prepare Request for Production: complete the template, share internally, and organize quality control meetings.
• Send the finalized RFP to the supplier via email.
• Manage RFP processing: gather supplier feedback and implement necessary changes.
• Confirm RFP acceptance and ensure smooth internal and external information flow.
• Generate purchase requisitions based on approved RFPs.
• Monitor production progress and conduct regular follow-up meetings with suppliers.
• Track readiness of materials for delivery in coordination with suppliers and the JOS logistics team.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the planning tool.
• Interface with PSR Wells, Wells engineers, PFMs, logistics team, and relevant suppliers.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders throughout the year for production and RFP follow-ups.
