Job summary

Oslo Municipality’s home nursing service is seeking a professionally competent nurse to work in clients’ homes where each day brings new challenges. The 100% permanent position offers a 2-part day/evening shift with every 3rd weekend or alternating weekends and includes a mentorship during the initial period.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, work with welfare technology, and document in Gerica, Elise and EQS while ensuring equitable home care. A police certificate is required before start.

Qualifications

• Norwegian authorisation as a nurse (HPR number required).
• Experience in home nursing is desirable.
• Good basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Category B driving licence.
• Excellent oral and written Norwegian communication (C1).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services in accordance with applicable legislation and quality requirements.
• Document and report in the professional systems Gerica, Elise and EQS.
• Teach, guide and inform users, relatives, colleagues and partners.
• Plan, assess and coordinate services, and implement measures and goals in collaboration with users and relatives.

We are looking for nurses who have a burning desire to further develop our services for the benefit of our users. You will receive good training, follow-up and a nurse colleague will be your mentor during the initial period. We also recommend newly graduated to apply.

We have a strong focus on innovation, digitisation, welfare technology and everyday coping. With us you will be part of a strong professional environment with a dedicated clinical nurse specialist on the team. In addition we have a clinical development nurse, oncology nurses, a dietitian, AKS nurse, pharmacist, dementia nurse and full-time employees who work with welfare technology in our service. More of our users receive follow-up and healthcare with digital home visits and digital home follow-up. We are committed to interdisciplinary collaboration and work closely with caseworker, physiotherapist and occupational therapist to strive that the district's residents shall receive equitable services and be able to live safely in their own homes as long as possible.

The position is a 100% permanent position - 2-part rota / shift schedule (day/evening) - with work every 3rd weekend or every other weekend with a high rate. We also have an available maternity temporary substitute position from December.

The district's home nursing is distributed geographically and comprises 4 districts for home nursing, one district for Assessment and rehabilitation, practical assistance and its own night service.
Vinderen district is located in beautiful premises at Borgenveien 1 - about 5 minutes from Majorstuen metro station

Start date requires an approved police certificate

Qualifications

• Experience from home nursing is desirable
• Good basic computer skills and ability to familiarise yourself quickly with new systems
• class B driving licence
• Good oral and written communication skills (minimum equivalent to C1, both written and oral)
