Job summary

Neuver Maritime, a global maritime company, is hiring an HR & Payroll Specialist to own Norwegian payroll processes and related HR activities. You will partner with Finance and a global team to ensure compliant payroll delivery and data integrity.

You will work in a small HR team, supporting operations worldwide and contributing to the digitalization of payroll and HR processes, while staying compliant with Norwegian legislation and corporate standards.

Qualifications

• Solid Norwegian payroll experience.
• Understanding of payroll controls, deadlines, legislation, reporting and compliance.
• Experience with HR/payroll systems is an advantage.
• Good Norwegian and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Take internal ownership of the Norwegian payroll process and ensure accurate, timely delivery.
• Perform payroll controls and QA before and after payroll runs.
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, reporting and employment requirements.
• Prepare, validate and follow up payroll data and documentation.
• Act as primary contact to the external payroll provider.
• Maintain payroll procedures, controls and documentation.
• Support reconciliations and collaborate with Finance.
• Contribute to developing and improving payroll operating model.
• Be prepared to take on more hands-on payroll processing if needed.
• Work with VP HR on operational HR agenda.
• Support onboarding, changes, offboarding, contracts and HR documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems.
• Support absence, working time and other HR processes.
• Assist managers with HR matters and ensure processes are followed.
• Contribute to HR reporting, policies and recruitment as needed.
