About the role:
Hours: Full Time
The Norway Accountant will provide day to day support to the Europe Controller. The successful individual will be responsible for delivery of management accounts for the region, delivering a range of financial reports and processes, helping to manage the daily, weekly and monthly accounting processes.

About the team:
You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team, with key operations based in the AS region. As out Motive team continues to expand, our finance team in the Norway region plays an integral role in supporting the business's financial health and smooth operations.

Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
Product
Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting variance analysis and commentary
Preparation of inputs into monthly consolidated financial reporting pack ensuring adherence to group accounting policies
Preparation of end of project costing reports
Support Quarterly Group VAT returns
Preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts
Preparation of inputs into year-end accounts and liaison with Auditors
Input to budgeting and forecasting process
Proactively suggest and implement process improvements
Working to specific deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required skills / knowledge:
Position is suited to an experienced accountant with extensive experience working as a Management Accountant. Consideration will be given to part qualified, qualified by experience and fully qualified accountants
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, with the ability to set up and manage the accounting function of a fast-paced business.
Experienced and competent user of Sage and Excel
Previous experience of finance system upgrades
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidential information
High levels of attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to foster effective working relationships
Ability to deal with fast moving projects
Must have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
