Job summary

Motive Offshore Group seeks an experienced accountant to join our Europe Controller team in Stavanger. The Norway Accountant will deliver daily financial reporting and steering for the region, supporting growth and operational excellence across multiple projects.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts while collaborating with senior leaders. Astrong focus on accuracy, process improvements, and timely delivery is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experienced management accountant; open to part qualified or qualified by experience and fully qualified accountants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
• Prepare inputs for monthly consolidated financial reporting pack per group policies.
• Prepare end-of-project costing reports.
• Support quarterly VAT returns for the group.
• Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts.
• Prepare inputs into year-end accounts and liaise with Auditors.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting process.
• Proactively suggest and implement process improvements.
• Work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

About the role:

Hours: Full Time

The Norway Accountant will provide day to day support to the Europe Controller. The successful individual will be responsible for delivery of management accounts for the region, delivering a range of financial reports and processes, helping to manage the daily, weekly and monthly accounting processes.

About the team:

You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team, with key operations based in the AS region. As out Motive team continues to expand, our finance team in the Norway region plays an integral role in supporting the business's financial health and smooth operations.

Required skills / knowledge:

Position is suited to an experienced accountant with extensive experience working as a Management Accountant. Consideration will be given to part qualified, qualified by experience and fully qualified accountants

Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, with the ability to set up and manage the accounting function of a fast-paced business.

Experienced and competent user of Sage and Excel

Previous experience of finance system upgrades

Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidential information

High levels of attention to detail

Good communication skills and ability to foster effective working relationships

Ability to deal with fast moving projects

Must have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
