About the position
Are you a self-driven operational leader with uncompromised standards, strong commercial acumen, and business operations/logistics background? Do you excel at establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), holding people accountable while also empowering them, optimizing multi-unit P&Ls, and negotiating top-tier vendor agreements? Then this is your opportunity to serve as the operational backbone of Norrøna Destinations.
Reporting directly to the Chief Experience Officer, the Norrøna Destinations Operations Manager serves as the primary operational leader of our lodge managers across all properties. You will drive operational discipline from A to Z, enforce health & safety protocols, audit quality standards, optimize staffing matrices, and maximize operating margins across our expanding hospitality portfolio.
Main areas of responsibility

- Lodge Leadership & Performance Management: Provide structured oversight, set performance targets, conduct active performance reviews, and ensure tight operational compliance across all property teams.
- P&L Control & Financial Oversight: Execute full P&L accountability across all destination operations. Conduct granular variance analysis, track cost performance, enforce strict budget discipline, and maximize operating margins.
- Vendor Negotiation & Procurement: Direct multi-property vendor contract negotiations and procurement operations. Enforce strict SLA management, cost containment, tight vendor control, and optimal unit economics across all locations.
- Facility Oversight & Risk Management: Oversee comprehensive facility maintenance systems, preventative maintenance schedules, asset integrity, and strict housekeeping protocols. Ensure 100% legal, HSE, liquor licensing, food health & safety, and emergency response compliance.
- Standardized Workflows & Competence Development: Develop and roll out standardized operational templates (work shift plans, maintenance schedules, purchasing lists, quality audit checklists, training materials, annual cycles) to ensure consistent execution across all properties.
We believe you’ll succeed in this role if you have
- Multi-Property Operational Rigor: Proven track record in multi-unit hospitality management, lodge operations, or hotel group operations with a hands-on, execution-driven leadership style.
- Financial Acumen & Cost Discipline: Strong mastery of P&L management, budget control, unit economics, contract negotiation, and operational cost containment.
- Process & Compliance Mindset: High standards for operational routines, quality auditing, HSE risk mitigation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Decisive Leadership & Accountability: Ability to direct, support, and hold lodge managers accountable while fostering a high-performance culture across dispersed remote teams.
- Hands-On Outdoor & Hospitality Passion: Deep alignment with Norrøna’s values, understanding remote/Arctic operational environments, and a "get your hands dirty" mentality.
