Job summary

CTS Group is seeking an experienced MEP Package Manager to lead the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing packages on major data centre projects in Norway. You will oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and quality.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, BIM-enabled delivery, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and professional membership or chartered status is advantageous.
• Experience leading MEP delivery on large-scale construction projects and coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.
• Strong BIM-enabled project delivery knowledge and familiarity with international building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of assigned MEP packages from design to project completion.
• Develop and maintain package execution plans, schedules, and reporting mechanisms.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, variations, and commercial performance.
• Ensure milestones align with the project programme.
• Coordinate design development and review with consultants and subcontractors.

MEP Package Manager - Data Centres

Norway

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Package Manager to lead the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing packages on major data centre and mission-critical projects in Norway.

Reporting to the Project Director, the MEP Package Manager will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of allocated MEP packages, from design coordination and procurement through installation, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will ensure that all package activities are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

Package Management

• Manage the delivery of assigned MEP packages from design through to project completion.

• Develop and maintain package execution plans, schedules, and reporting mechanisms.

• Monitor package budgets, forecasts, variations, and commercial performance.

• Ensure package milestones are achieved in line with the project programme.

Design & Coordination

• Coordinate design development and review processes with consultants and subcontractors.

• Ensure integration of MEP systems with structural, architectural, and specialist package requirements.

• Review technical submissions, shop drawings, and material approvals.

• Identify and manage design risks, clashes, and interface issues.

Procurement & Supply Chain

• Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, and subcontractor selection.

• Manage supplier and subcontractor performance throughout project execution.

• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical equipment and materials.

Construction & Commissioning

• Oversee site installation activities and monitor construction progress.

• Manage testing, commissioning, and system validation activities.

• Ensure all package documentation is completed and available for handover.

• Support operational readiness and project close-out activities.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in quality inspections, audits, and site reviews.

• Promote a strong safety culture across all package activities.

• Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.

• Professional membership or chartered status is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum 7-10 years' experience in MEP delivery on large‑scale construction projects.

• Experience managing MEP packages on data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

• Proven track record of managing subcontractors and specialist vendors.

• Experience in commissioning and project handover processes.

• Strong understanding of BIM‑led project delivery.

Technical Skills

• Excellent understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM platforms.

• Knowledge of international building codes and standards.

• Familiarity with LEED, BREEAM, and sustainable construction principles.

• Strong commercial and contract management awareness.
