Job summary

Atlantach is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Manager in Stavanger, Norway to lead and coordinate commissioning activities for data centre infrastructure. You will develop test documents, QA/QC plans, and detailed schedules while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients.

The role requires 5+ years in commissioning for data centres, with deep knowledge of BAS/BMS, P&IDs, and related systems. A strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commissioning roles for data centres.
• Knowledge of data centre commissioning levels 1–5.
• Ability to read P&IDs, specs, and drawings and identify field issues.
• Familiarity with BAS/BMS, AHUs, chillers, CRAC/CRAH, sensors, and flowmeters.
• Strong knowledge of local/national codes and construction drawings.

• Develop level 1–5 commissioning test documents.
• Develop QA/QC documents for Vendor OSM equipment and onsite utilities.
• Prepare sequential schedule to optimize QA/QC inspections and commissioning tests.
• Support and coordinate across project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Assist in commissioning and performance testing of mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout commissioning.

We are expanding our team of commissioning experts and are seeking to hire an Mechanical Commissioning Manager in Norway. You will play an integral role in the lead out of commissioning activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing level 1- level 5 commissioning test documents.
• Develop QA/QC documents for the Vendor OSM equipment and the onsite utility equipment
• Prepare a sequential schedule to ensure all QA/QC inspections and commissioning testing are carried out in a manner that ensures the most efficient use of time and resources
• Participate and support where required throughout all commissioning levels including pre-construction planning of the projected scope of work.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the commissioning process.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar commissioning roles for Data Centres
• Good knowledge of Data centre Commissioning (levels 1-5).
• Need to understand equipment and system P&IDs, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution.
• Knowledge of various Building Automation/Monitoring Systems (BAS/BMS), Air Handlers, Humidifiers, Chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioners/Handlers (CRAC/CRAH), Pressure/Temperature/Humidity sensors & Flowmeters. Understanding of Area Layout.
• Strong knowledge is required in the following areas: local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices.
