Job summary

Atlantach Technical Services is expanding its team and seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities for data centres in Norway. You will drive QA/QC documentation, schedule planning and field coordination with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with codes and successful delivery of commissioning and performance acceptance tests for mechanical infrastructure systems.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ experience in commissioning for data centres.
• Strong knowledge of Data centre commissioning levels 1-5.
• Ability to read P&IDs, specs and drawings and resolve field discrepancies.
• Familiarity with BAS/BMS, AHUs, CRAC/CRAH, sensors and flowmeters.
• Knowledge of local and national codes and standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop QA/QC documents for equipment and onsite utilities.
• Prepare sequential schedules for QA/QC inspections and commissioning tests.
• Support pre-construction planning of commissioning scope.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, contractors and clients for delivery.
• Lead commissioning and performance acceptance testing of mechanical infra.
• Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance throughout commissioning.

We are expanding our team of commissioning experts and are seeking to hire an Mechanical Commissioning Manager in Norway. You will play an integral role in the lead out of commissioning activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop QA/QC documents for the Vendor OSM equipment and the onsite utility equipment
• Prepare a sequential schedule to ensure all QA/QC inspections and commissioning testing are carried out in a manner that ensures the most efficient use of time and resources
• Participate and support where required throughout all commissioning levels including pre-construction planning of the projected scope of work.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the commissioning process.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in similar commissioning roles for Data Centres
• Good knowledge of Data centre Commissioning (levels 1-5).
• Need to understand equipment and system P&IDs, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution.
• Knowledge of various Building Automation/Monitoring Systems (BAS/BMS), Air Handlers, Humidifiers, Chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioners/Handlers (CRAC/CRAH), Pressure/Temperature/Humidity sensors & Flowmeters. Understanding of Area Layout.
• Strong knowledge is required in the following areas: local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices.
