Job summary

Atlantach is expanding its team and seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Lead for a Datacentre project outside Stavanger, Norway. You will lead all mechanical commissioning activities and drive QA/QC documentation for major high-tech construction.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years' commissioning experience, deep knowledge of data centre systems, and strong ability to coordinate with diverse teams to deliver on schedule and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in commissioning roles for major high-tech construction projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Data centre commissioning (levels 1-5).
• Ability to read P&IDs, specifications and drawings and resolve field discrepancies.
• Knowledge of BAS/BMS, AHUs, Chillers, CRAC/CRAH, sensors and flowmeters.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mechanical commissioning activities across the project lifecycle.
• Develop and manage Level 1–5 commissioning plans, scripts and test documentation.
• Prepare QA/QC documentation for vendor packages and site utilities.
• Create commissioning schedules ensuring inspections, testing and handover are delivered.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, vendors and client reps.
• Lead functional performance testing and final commissioning activities.
• Drive issue resolution, snag management and commissioning close-out.

We are expanding our team of commissioning experts and are seeking to hire an Mechanical Commissioning Lead in the Datacentre industry. You will play an integral role in the lead out of commissioning activities. This project is outside Stavanger, Norway

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead all mechanical commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and manage Level 1–5 commissioning plans, scripts and test documentation.
• Prepare QA/QC documentation for vendor package equipment and site utility systems.
• Develop commissioning schedules to ensure inspections, testing and handover activities are delivered efficiently.
• Participate in design reviews, commissionability assessments and pre-construction planning.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, vendors and client representatives.
• Lead functional performance testing, integrated systems testing and final commissioning activities.
• Drive technical issue resolution, snag management and commissioning close-out.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, industry standards and health & safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar commissioning roles for major high-tech construction projects.
• Excellent working knowledge of Data centre Commissioning (levels 1-5).
• Need to understand equipment and system P&IDs, specifications and drawings and be able to identify field discrepancies for resolution.
• Knowledge of various Building Automation/Monitoring Systems (BAS/BMS), Air Handlers, Humidifiers, Chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioners/Handlers (CRAC/CRAH), Pressure/Temperature/Humidity sensors & Flowmeters. Understanding of Area Layout.
• Strong knowledge is required in the following areas: local and national codes; construction drawings/symbols; acceptable industry standard/practices.
