Job summary

KONGSBERG is seeking a Full-Stack SW Engineer to contribute to the HiPOS platform for hydroacoustic positioning and monitoring in challenging maritime environments. The role emphasizes back-end development, system interfaces, and integration with vessel systems, all within a multidisciplinary R&D team.

You will work on end-to-end features, scalable services, and architecture with a focus on performance and reliability while collaborating across Product, UX, Platform, Data, and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in computer science, cybernetics, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with application development using technologies such as C++, C#.
• Real-time programming, real time operating systems.
• Experience with DevOps tools and development pipelines.
• Experience with software development principles, testing, and version control.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve end-to-end product features across frontend and backend.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, integrations and data flows.
• Contribute to software architecture, system design, security, release and technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and improve software performance, reliability, and usability.
• Collaborate with colleagues across different technical disciplines.
• Participate in product testing in our laboratories and aboard our research vessels in Horten.
• Work closely with Product, UX, Platform, Data and DevOps colleagues to turn user and business needs into working software.
