Job summary

KONGSBERG Discovery is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer to advance the HiPOS platform for positioning and monitoring in demanding maritime environments. You will contribute to backend, frontend interfaces, and critical system integrations with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes real-time programming, DevOps practices, and software quality, with opportunities to work on end-to-end features and real-world maritime applications.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in computer science, cybernetics, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with application development using technologies such as C++, C#
• Real-time programming, real time operating systems
• Experience with DevOps tools and development pipelines
• Experience with software development principles, testing, and version control
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Build and improve end-to-end product features across frontend and backend
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, integrations and data flows
• Contribute to software architecture, system design, security, release and technical specifications
• Troubleshoot and improve software performance, reliability, and usability
• Collaborate with colleagues across different technical disciplines
• Participate in product testing in our laboratories and aboard our research vessels in Horten
• Work closely with Product, UX, Platform, Data and DevOps colleagues to turn user and business needs into working software
