Job summary

MapleGroves in Alta, Norway, seeks a friendly Concierge to warmly welcome guests and assist with check-in in a luxury hotel setting. You will provide information on services and local attractions, arrange reservations, and handle special requests, working closely with other departments.

English fluency required; additional languages are a plus, and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a luxury hotel or premium hospitality is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written English skills; additional languages are an asset.
• Knowledge of Alta's attractions, restaurants and transport options.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in process
• Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions
• Make recommendations and reservations for restaurants, activities, and transportation
• Arrange special requests such as flowers, gifts, or special amenities
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
• Maintain knowledge of current events and local activities to provide up-to-date recommendations to guests
• Monitor guest feedback and take necessary actions to ensure guest satisfaction
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service
