Job summary

Wilhelmsen Ship Management Norway seeks a Hotel Superintendent to oversee interior quality across managed vessels. You will lead standards, renewals, and refurbishment programs, reporting to the Hotel Technical Manager and coordinating with fleet teams.

The role requires a design eye, asset-management skills, and a strong English proficiency, with hybrid work options in Lysaker, near Oslo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in naval architecture, maritime engineering, or cruise ship interior design.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in cruise ship accommodation construction, operations, or a related field.
• Luxury hotel facility management experience is also relevant.
• Previous shore-based experience is an advantage.
• Previous budget responsibility is an advantage.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement fleet standards for hotel interior maintenance and inspection routines.
• Develop and execute the renewal strategy for equipment and furniture.
• Provide expert guidance for interior repairs and maintenance—minimizing guest impact.
• Collaborate with procurement to select suppliers, contracts, and monitor costs and quality.
• Lead hotel refurbishment projects, including scope, budget, and compliance with class/flag rules.
