Job summary

FutureHire in Svalbard is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our on-site team. You will install, commission, maintain and repair instruments used in industrial settings, calibrate equipment and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with certification in instrumentation or electronics preferred, and proven experience with electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in instrumentation or electronics preferred.
• Proven experience as an Instrument Technician.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new instruments according to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs when necessary.
• Document all activities and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify potential improvements or upgrades for existing instruments.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to instrument technology.
