Job summary

FutureHire in Svalbard is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our on-site team. You will install, commission, maintain and repair instruments used in industrial settings, calibrate equipment and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, with certification in instrumentation or electronics preferred, and proven experience with electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments.

• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform repairs when necessary.
• Document all activities and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Collaborate with other team members to identify potential improvements or upgrades for existing instruments.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulations related to instrument technology.

Job description

We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Svalbard.

In this role you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various types of instruments used in industrial and manufacturing settings. Your duties will include troubleshooting technical issues, conducting routine inspections and calibrating equipment to ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Instrument Technician and be familiar with a wide range of electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1800$ per month.

• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
