Job summary

Omega 365 Consulting seeks a Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) for a forus-based offshore assignment in Norway. You will lead discipline engineering activities, ensure work aligns with plan, and report progress while logging changes per change control.

You will produce and interpret documentation including P&IDs, SCDs, loop diagrams, and IS calculations, and revise existing drawings. Strong client/vendor collaboration and offshore materials ordering are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive offshore oil/gas engineering experience (10–15 years) is required.
• Over 10 years of engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Knowledge of NORSOK, PTIL and API standards.
• Strong self-learning and communication skills.
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline engineering activities and ensure work follows plan.

Assignment Description

Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) is responsible for discipline engineering activities. The Senior DRE shall ensure that the work within the discipline is carried out according to plan and that progress is reported. The Senior DRE shall ensure that potential changes/deviations are identified and logged in accordance with project change control system.

Produce/understand new documentation and drawings such as Cauce&Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire&Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.

Revise existing documentation and drawings.

Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.

Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation.

Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.

Discussions with Client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications

Lack of education requires 10-15 years of relevant work experience

More than 10 years experience in engineering within the Oil&Gas industry.

Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as NORSOK, PTIL and API standards

High degree of self learning skills

Good communication

Excellent Norwegian and English writing & speaking skills

Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation

Basic EX Training – either a 22.5-hour classroom-based course or a 6–8-hour online course

FSE Training for High- and Low-Voltage Electrical Installations, including First Aid
