Job summary

Head Energy is seeking a Senior Instrument Engineer to lead discipline activities for offshore installations in Stavanger. You will ensure work is executed to plan, with progress tracked and changes logged per the change control system.

The role requires robust knowledge of P&IDs, SCDs and instrument drawings, plus extensive Oil & Gas experience and a relevant degree. Strong communication in English and Norwegian is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in engineering.
• 10–15 years of relevant work experience if no degree.
• 10+ years experience in Oil & Gas engineering.

Responsibilities

• Senior DRE is responsible for discipline engineering activities.
• Ensure work within the discipline is carried out according to plan and progress is reported.
• Identify and log changes/deviations in the project change control system.
• Produce/update documentation and drawings (P&ID, SCD, loop drawings for process, Fire & Gas, safety systems).
• Revise existing documentation and drawings and approve discipline documents.
• Order instrument materials for offshore installation.
• Understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
• Discuss with client and vendor reps to find optimal technical solutions.

Job Description:

• Senior Discipline Responsible Engineer (Senior DRE) is responsible for discipline engineering activities.
• The Senior DRE shall ensure that the work within the discipline is carried out according to plan and that progress is reported.
• The Senior DRE shall ensure that potential changes/deviations are identified and logged in accordance with project change control system.
• Produce/understand new documentation and drawings such as Cauce&Effect, System Control Diagrams (SCD) diagrams, loop drawings for process, Fire&Gas and safety systems; IS Loop Calculations.
• Revise existing documentation and drawings.
• Discipline check and approval of produced documents and drawings in the project.
• Order all instrument materials needed for offshore installation.
• Must be able to understand P&IDs and drawings from different disciplines.
• Discussions with Client and vendor representatives in order to find optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree
  Lack of education requires 10-15 years of relevant work experience
• More than 10 years experience in engineering within the Oil&Gas industry.
• Grunnleggende EX kurs, enten 22,5 timer i klasserom eller 6-8 timer online
• FSE høy og lavtspent med førstehjelp

Personal traits:

• Must have knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as NORSOK, PTIL and API standards
• High degree of self learning skills
• Good communication
• Excellent Norwegian and English writing & speaking skills
• Knowledge of modifications on offshore installations when in operation
