Job summary

IKM Gruppen AS in Stavanger is seeking an experienced Senior Instrument & Control Engineer to lead discipline engineering activities and ensure alignment with the project plan. The role includes reporting progress, managing changes, and creating technical documentation for offshore installs.

The position requires strong knowledge of P&IDs, SCDs, loop drawings, and IS loop calculations, plus collaboration with clients and vendors to identify optimal technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience within Oil & Gas recommended.
• Knowledge of NORSOK, PTIL and API standards.
• Experience with offshore modification projects in operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee discipline engineering activities, ensuring work aligns with the project plan and reporting progress.
• Identify, log, and manage potential changes and deviations according to the project's change control system.
• Produce and interpret technical documentation including Cause & Effect diagrams, System Control Diagrams, and loop drawings for process, Fire & Gas, and safety systems.
• Perform IS Loop Calculations and revise existing documentation and drawings.
• Conduct discipline checks and approve documents and drawings produced within the project.
• Order all necessary instrument materials required for offshore installation.
• Understand P&IDs and drawings from various engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with client and vendor representatives to determine optimal technical solutions.

Required expertise

• -Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Extensive relevant experience (10-15 years) may compensate for a lack of formal education.
• -More than 10 years of engineering experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• -Thorough knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, such as NORSOK, PTIL, and API.
• -Experience with modification projects on offshore installations while in operation.
• -A high degree of self-learning ability and strong communication skills.
• -Valid Basic Ex (Grunnleggende EX) certificate.
• -Valid FSE high and low voltage with first aid (FSE høy og lavtspent med førstehjelp) certificate.

Work schedule: Full-time

Duration: The assignment is planned from September 2026 to December 2027.
