Job summary

Aker Solutions, Fornebu, Norway, is seeking a Project Manager to lead large hydropower projects with responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, cost and risk. You will influence outcomes by coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site operations.

The role demands a strong track record in delivering technically complex programs, commercial acumen, and fluent Norwegian and English.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
• Strong track record of leading large, technically complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership with commercial judgement.
• Understands importance of customer satisfaction and project profitability.
• Experience managing contractual matters, claims, change orders, and project economics.
• Thrives in dynamic environment where decisions impact performance.
• Excellent communication with customers, senior management, and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful execution of complex hydropower projects with responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, cost and risk
• Build strong and trusted relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders
• Drive project performance and ensure predictable and successful outcomes
• Managing commercial performance, profitability and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities to protect project value
• Establish a strong execution culture and motivate multidisciplinary teams towards common goals
• Ensure effective collaboration between engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site operations
• Contribute to continuous improvement and strengthen project management excellence across the organization
• Support the development of future project managers and project leadership capabilities
