Job summary

Aker Solutions in Oslo/Fornebu seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead large, technically challenging hydropower projects from initiation to delivery. You will influence project outcomes, customer satisfaction and commercial performance while coordinating multidisciplinary teams across the lifecycle.

You do not need to be a hydropower specialist; a broad generalist profile with strong leadership, relationship building and results orientation is key.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
• Proven track record leading large, technically complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership with commercial judgement.
• Balance between customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Experience managing contractual matters, claims, change orders and project economics.
• Thrives in dynamic environments with impact on project performance.
• Excellent communication with customers, senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful execution of complex hydropower projects with responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, cost and risk.
• Build strong and trusted relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders.
• Drive project performance and ensure predictable and successful outcomes.
• Managing commercial performance, profitability and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities to protect project value.
• Establish a strong execution culture and motivate multidisciplinary teams towards common goals.
• Ensure effective collaboration between engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and strengthen project management excellence across the organization.
• Support the development of future project managers and project leadership capabilities.
