Aker Solutions in Fornebu, Norway, is searching for an experienced Project Manager to lead large hydropower projects from design to installation. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, balancing safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risk to deliver results.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in managing complex projects, with strong leadership and commercial acumen, and is fluent in Norwegian and English.

Are you an experienced project manager who thrives on responsibility, collaboration, and delivering complex projects from start to finish?
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the execution of large and technically challenging hydropower projects. In this role, you will have real influence on project outcomes, customer satisfaction, and commercial performance while working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the entire project lifecycle.
You do not need to be a hydropower specialist. We are looking for a strong project leader with a broad, generalist profile who can drive performance, build relationships, and create results in a complex technical environment.
Work location is Fornebu

What will you be doing?

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of project execution and ensure successful delivery in terms of safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risk.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the successful execution of complex hydropower projects with responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, cost and risk

• Build strong and trusted relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders

• Drive project performance and ensure predictable and successful outcomes

• Managing commercial performance, profitability and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle

• Identify and manage risks and opportunities to protect project value

• Establish a strong execution culture and motivate multidisciplinary teams towards common goals

• Ensure effective collaboration between engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site operations

• Contribute to continuous improvement and strengthen project management excellence across the organization

• Support the development of future project managers and project leadership capabilities

You are a confident project leader who enjoys taking ownership and delivering results. You combine strong leadership skills with commercial awareness and understand how to balance customer expectations with project profitability.

• Relevant degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field

• Demonstrates a strong track record of successfully leading large, technically complex projects and delivering them on time and within budget

• Combines strong leadership skills with sound commercial judgement

• Understands the importance of both customer satisfaction and project profitability

• Is confident in managing contractual matters, claims, change orders and project economics

• Thrives in a dynamic environment where decisions have a direct impact on project and business performance

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers, senior management, and cross-functional teams

• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written
