Job summary

Ribbit is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for the Web Interfaces team in a hybrid role based in Canada. You will hire and grow the team, define the GUI architecture and services, and write code while guiding a small team through early stages of product development.

Collaboration with autonomy, flight-testing, hardware, and product teams is essential. You will prototype features, establish patterns, and set quality standards, with a focus on delivering reliable software for flight

Qualifications

• Experience managing software engineers, including hiring, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Shipped production web software as a senior engineer and continue writing/reviewing code.
• Experience on early-stage teams where architecture, processes, and hiring were started rather than inherited.
• Track record of delivering against external deployments, field trials, or certifications.
• Experience with real-time or data-intensive systems and understanding trade-offs.
• Ability to work with hardware, testing, deployment teams where software schedules depend on flight windows.
• Open to giving/receiving feedback and clear in writing for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow the Interfaces team from the ground up, own onboarding and career growth.
• Prototype new functionality early, set patterns, and shift toward leadership as the team scales.
• Define technical direction for the Interfaces stack and roadmap for GUI/services.
• Coordinate work with autonomy, flight-testing, hardware, and product teams.
• Support field testing during flight trials and pilot projects to inform roadmap.
