Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking a seasoned Work Prep Engineer for Hook-Up projects in Stord, Norway. You will develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES based on engineering packs and coordinate with engineering, planning, construction and commissioning teams.

The role requires technical education, 5+ years in oil & gas, proficiency with PIMS CMS/PIMS PES, and fluent Norwegian and English. Regular week with some remote work is possible.

Qualifications

• Technical education (vocational or engineering degree) and relevant trade certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of oil & gas experience in construction or commissioning.
• Familiarity with MC and commissioning completion processes and digital tools (PIMS CMS/PIMS PES).
• Strong understanding of drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Work Order Preparation: develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES, including man-hour estimates, drawings, procedures and MTO.
• Interface Management: collaborate with engineering, planning, construction and commissioning teams to ensure prerequisites are met.
• Quality & HSSE Compliance: review safety aspects of planned work, identify risks, and ensure HSSE compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities to optimize work preparation processes and contribute to lessons learned.
• Familiarity with PIMS CMS/PIMS PES and experience in preparing mechanical work packages is advantageous.

• Work Order Preparation: Based on information provided in engineering work packs (EWP), the Work Prep Engineer shall develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES, including, but not limited to, man-hour (MHR) estimates, drawings, procedures, and material lists (MTO).
• Interface Management: Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure all prerequisites are met prior to job execution.

• Experience in preparing mechanical work packages is considered an advantage.
• Strong understanding of drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Fluent in Norwegian, with a good command of English, both written and spoken

The position is preferably based on a regular work week, with some possibilites for remote work when practical.
