Job summary

Orbital is seeking a Head of Talent to own and scale our global recruitment function across the US and UK. You will build a high-caliber, low-volume hiring approach with executive search rigor, partnering with the CEO, COO and CRO to shape the talent narrative and strategy.

You will lead direct-hire, market mapping and targeted outreach to attract top leaders for GTM and engineering roles. You will also drive AI-enabled sourcing and precision hiring practices, coaching a distributed team, and

Qualifications

Experience scaling a talent function in a VC-backed tech company.
Proven high-caliber, low-volume hiring with measurable impact.
Experience hiring GTM and engineering roles in UK/US markets.
Executive search: market mapping, target lists, multi-touch engagement, close.
Ability to partner with CRO/CTO/COO/CEO on talent narrative and strategy.
Data-driven, rigorous forecasting and ATS usage.

Responsibilities

Define the company-wide hiring strategy with the CEO, COO and CRO.
Lead a distributed US/UK Talent team and coach for high impact.
Own direct-hire searches: market mapping, target lists, outreach, assessment and close.
Ensure a rigorous, measurable search process with stakeholders and updates.
