Job summary

Outpost seeks a Head of Operations to own the end-to-end operational stack across onboarding, merchant ops, payments, treasury, and compliance. You will design scalable processes, partner with engineering on tooling, and build a high-performing team to scale global commerce operations.

You will work with senior stakeholders, launch new markets, and own KPIs that drive efficiency, risk management, and merchant experience in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of operations experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce infrastructure.
• Experience building processes from zero, not just inheriting them.
• Strong data literacy with ability to measure and analyze processes.
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast-paced startup environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational stack end to end: onboarding, merchant operations, payments and treasury ops, compliance monitoring, and new market launches.
• Define and implement scalable processes and playbooks; partner with engineering on tooling.
• Lead a small operations team; hire, onboard, and mentor as you scale.
• Monitor risk, fraud, and chargebacks; optimize payment operations and routing.
• Launch markets with complete legal, tax, payments, and ops setup; onboard PSPs and banking partners.
