Job summary

Clarion Hotel The Edge in Tromsø is seeking a Head Chef who owns the kitchen, shaping menus with local Arctic produce and confidently presenting concepts to event guests. The role emphasizes craft, flavor, and exceptional ingredients.

You will lead with a sustainability focus, coordinating with the Executive Chef and stepping in during absences while driving high-end banquets and à la carte service.

Qualifications

• Requires a trade certificate and solid experience in banquet and/or à la carte service.
• Demonstrated sustainability mindset and passion for local Arctic produce.

Responsibilities

• Craft menus with local identity and lead menu development with executive input.
• Present dishes and the stories behind them to guests at events.
• Deliver high-quality food under pressure during evening shifts.
• Drive sustainable kitchen practices through local sourcing and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with and potentially lead the team in the Executive Chef's absence.
