Job summary

Mercell, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, is seeking a Group Controller to join the Group Finance team. The role spans financial controlling, FP&A and finance operations, including cost control, reporting, forecasting, cash management and working capital.

You’ll work closely with Finance and business colleagues, building on accounting or audit experience and expanding your operational finance exposure across the function. Hybrid work style.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• Strong experience (3–5 years) in accounting, auditing or financial or business controlling.
• Big4 background is an advantage.
• Interest in moving closer to the business and developing broader experience in financial reporting and operations.
• Good Excel skills and confidence with financial systems; Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.
• Great English communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to financial reporting, analysis and controls to ensure reliable numbers and insights.
• Support cost controlling, budgeting and forecasting in close dialogue with the business.
• Assist with cash management, cash forecasting and working capital for daily operations.
• Contribute to transfer pricing and inter‑company financing; internal cost allocation and funding at legal entity level.
• Improve processes and ways of working with a hands‑on approach.
