Job summary

The Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) seeks a skilled data analyst to work on greenhouse gas emissions and removals in the land use sector. You will contribute to national inventories and international reporting with strong focus on accuracy and traceability.

Based at the Ås headquarters, you will develop reproducible workflows, assist in projects, and collaborate with public administration and research teams to support climate action and policy development.

Qualifications

• Strong programming in R and data processing skills.
• Excellent English communication abilities (written and spoken).
• Norwegian (or Swedish/Danish) language skills for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform data processing, analyses, and reporting for greenhouse gas inventories.
• Maintain transparent, reproducible data workflows and documentation.
• Contribute to national inventory reporting and climate-related projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure accuracy and policy impact.
