Job summary

Elkem ASA seeks a strategic SVP Technology to lead the global Technology function and drive capability development across the company. You will provide technical leadership, oversight of R&D, IP management, and project delivery, while advancing safety, sustainability and profitable growth.

You will shape technology strategy, oversee CAPEX project delivery, and coordinate cross-functional teams across geographies, reporting to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience from international industrial companies with hands-on operations/projects.
• Proven track record of driving technology strategy, innovation and operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical and process industries, including production processes and asset management.
• Experience with large investment projects, cross-functional improvement programmes, procurement, contract management and commercial processes.
• Master's degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline, such as metallurgy, chemical/mechanical/electrical engineering or similar.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of a Scandinavian language is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Elkem Technology as a global function, developing high-performing teams.
• Develop and execute Elkem's technology strategy to enable safe, sustainable, and competitive operations globally.
• Drive HSE, operational excellence, technology deployment, raw materials optimisation, sustainability and climate-related initiatives.
• Manage Elkem's corporate R&D portfolio and strengthen competitive advantage through IP.
• Govern Elkem's CAPEX portfolio and drive successful project delivery.
• Support business development and help plants develop the resources for future performance and growth.
