Job summary

Norsk Hydro is seeking a VP Electrolysis Technology to lead technology development and strategy in the Corporate Technology Office. You will oversee electrolysis and materials projects, and translate research outcomes into operational improvements across Hydro’s global smelting network.

With 10+ years in aluminium electrolysis, you will drive cross-functional collaboration, maintain scientific leadership, and represent Hydro in international forums to strengthen partnerships and industry

Qualifications

• 10+ years in aluminium electrolysis and materials technology.
• Strong analytical and strategic mindset with ability to build networks across functions.
• Proficient in English and Norwegian, with external representation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrolysis technology development and related R&D efforts.
• Advise on applying technology to operational settings across smelters.
• Shape Hydro's upstream technology strategy and coordinate cross-business activities.
• Represent Hydro externally, sharing insights with ELT and partners.
