Job summary

MDE Group is recruiting for an Emergency Response Specialist to act as the main client contact during emergencies, monitor global threats, and coordinate communications and mobilization efforts. The role requires fluency in Norwegian and English, readiness for 24/7 shifts, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education preferred in emergency response, crisis management or security.
• Experience in operations, security, emergency response or military (OSINT).
• Good understanding of security and emergency preparedness.
• Excellent IT and digital skills.
• Knowledge of CIM is an advantage.
• Fluency in Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
• Team player, able to work individually.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle stress in demanding emergencies.
• Proactive and pragmatic attitude with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Main point of contact for the client for emergency notifications.
• Act on reports of serious incidents and coordinate with emergency plans.
• Provide remote support during business travel following JMP and Travel Plans.
• Conduct real-time threat monitoring from open sources and act as needed.
• Receive and act on reports of serious incidents and mobilize client response.
• Collect, analyze, and disseminate data from open-source systems for stakeholders.
• Transform data into written and actionable reports.
• Maintain situational awareness of global threats and inform stakeholders timely.
• Stay updated on evolving threat picture and inform accordingly.
• Support POB count during incidents and travel in high-threat countries.
• Collaborate with client’s emergency organization in crisis management tools.
• Conduct notifications and mass communication to employees during incidents.
• Notify and collaborate with PISAS when required.
• The position implies 24/7 shift work, including weekends, evenings and nights.
