Job summary

Equinor ASA in Norway is launching the North Development Program 2027 for a Geoscientist Subsurface. You will participate in geological, geophysical, or petrophysical analyses and contribute to discovery, well planning, and seismic interpretation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics or equivalent (completed by Aug 2027).
• No more than three years of relevant fulltime work experience.
• Strong interest to learn geological and/or geophysical work processes.
• Knowledge of data management, visualization, statistics, coding or cloud is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in geological, geophysical, or petrophysical analysis related to fields in production, early-phase projects, and/or exploration.
• Engage in geological and/or geophysical tasks related to prospect evaluation, well planning, operations monitoring, and post-well analysis with guidance.
• Take part in geophysical tasks such as structural interpretation, 3D/4D seismic interpretation, depth conversion, seismic modelling, and uncertainty analysis.
• Play a role in geological tasks in reservoir geology, geological modelling, seismic interpretation, and prospect identification and maturation under supervision.
