Job summary

Capture Energy seeks a Software Engineer – Operational Technology & Cloud Integration to build core services on the Capture Controller and ensure seamless data flow to cloud infrastructure.

You will work across OT and IT, developing in Go (with Python experience welcomed) and shaping interfaces between our automation systems and cloud platform. The role emphasizes energy optimization, data contracts and robust production readiness.

Qualifications

• Solid production experience in Go or Python and shipping meaningful code.
• Strong systems-level thinking across state management, concurrency, real-time data handling and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with energy systems, BESS or battery management.
• Experience with industrial protocols or hardware integration, even if ADS is not used.
• Comfortable working across OT and IT infrastructure layers.
• Willingness to learn Go if Python is primary language; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications running on the Capture Controller for energy optimization, state management and control logic.
• Communicate with TwinCAT via ADS to coordinate PLC operations and sensor data.
• Design and implement data schemas and APIs for reliable bidirectional data exchange with cloud services.
• Architect a clean separation between real-time PLC functions and business logic in the controller.
• Collaborate with OT and IT teams to define data contracts and integration points.
• Implement robust error handling, logging and monitoring for production control systems.
