Job summary

Enode is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build the software layer that makes home energy devices work as one system. You will own integrations with batteries, solar inverters, HVAC, and smart meters, and help mature our API surface for unified control of the home energy ecosystem.

You will work with the Home Energy team, reporting to the Engineering Manager, collaborating with PMs, backend engineers, and commercial teams to assess API feasibility and shape energy asset control on our

Qualifications

Experience building and maintaining backend services in production, API or integration-heavy systems.
Ability to own work from scoping to production rollout and iterate from customer insights.
Clear, thoughtful communication across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain integrations with OEM cloud platforms across batteries, solar, smart meters, and HVAC.
Design and evolve home energy APIs, unifying telemetry and controls for the HEM system and devices.
Improve observability and vendor performance across integrations and participate in triage rotations.
Collaborate with partnerships and commercial teams on API feasibility for new OEM integrations.
Engage with customers and translate learnings into product improvements.
Debug and ship production features in Node/TypeScript on an AWS-based stack.
Balance speed, quality, and customer impact in day-to-day decisions.
