NTNU in Trondheim invites applications for a PhD Candidate in Efficient Edge Intelligence Models. Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science with a major independent project (minimum 30 ECTS) equivalent to a master’s thesis.
  • Average grade from Master's studies equal to B or better on NTNU scale or documented equivalent.
  • Proof of English proficiency (IELTS 7 or TOEFL >100).
  • First-author publication in a recognized journal or conference in ML, embedded systems or edge intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with Nvidia Jetson boards or other edge platforms.
  • Strong knowledge in deep learning and deep learning optimization (pruning, quantization).
  • Strong academic writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the doctoral education until obtaining a doctorate.
  • Carry out high-quality research within the described framework.
  • Publish academic papers and disseminate findings.
  • Participate in the research group system software group.
  • Attend international conferences and research stays at foreign institutions.
  • Contribute to career-promoting work as assigned by the unit.
