Job summary

NTNU is inviting applications for a PhD Candidate position in the CEPSE group within the Department of Energy and Process Engineering. The role focuses on integrated energy and carbon management, coupling AI data centers, direct air capture, district heating, and industrial processes to optimize economic and environmental performance.

The successful candidate will complete doctoral studies while contributing to research publications, conferences, and collaborations with international partners.

Qualifications

• Must have Master’s degree in process systems engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, energy engineering or equivalent.
• Course of study must correspond to a five-year Norwegian program with 120 credits at master’s level.
• Strong and relevant academic background with a good master’s grade or equivalent foundation if letters absent.

Responsibilities

• Complete the doctoral education until obtaining a doctorate.
• Carry out research of high quality within the described framework.
